Nirvana for me, is discussing abstract concepts, and trying to make sense of the increasing complex being that is digital media. I am fascinated by technology and media - digital more so, and the ways it influences our lives - be it in interactions, development, society, business, etc. This attempt to wrap my head around media is the reason for my other blog WildBlueSkies.com.
It was while attending the New Media and Policy course at the University of Toronto conducted by Dr. Liss Jeffrey, and working on the Foreign Policy Dialogue - a pioneering online consultation conducted by the Government of Canada, that I realized how digital media could influence the very being of a country, and bring about true democracy - that is what led to Governance2.Org - a compendium of information on eGovernance news and trends.
I am currently a Product Manager with People Interactive (I) Limited (also home to the world’s largest Matrimonial website - Shaadi.com), where I work on their relationship and wedding portal - Shaaditimes.com. Here, I conceptualize, develop and market tools and features that would allow people to plan their weddings, apart from studying user interaction to enhance the experience on the website. We experimented with our own wedding card, which was rather well received.
